Immediate relief should be given to the flood affected people - Sri Lanka United Front President Siddiqui Muhammad Sadiq's request

President of Sri Lanka United Front Siddique Muhammad Sadiq has requested the President that the government should immediately provide relief to the people affected by the flood disaster in Nawalapitiya area. 

He further mentioned that the people of Nawala Pitiya area have been severely affected due to the floods caused by the erratic weather conditions of the country.

The Ministry of Disaster Relief should take immediate action to provide them with appropriate relief and President Ranil Wickremesinghe should issue a directive to the relevant ministry in this regard.

 Similarly, the government should take appropriate steps to compensate the damaged properties of the affected people. He also said that charitable organizations engaged in social work nationwide should come forward to provide relief to them.
